Young Adult Outreach Initiative
Do you work with or support young adults dealing with addiction in an educational or support setting, such as a school or university collegiate recovery center (CRC) or another community-based or recovery community organization (CBO or RCO)?
SMART Recovery would like to assist and partner with you in making our science-based, religion-neutral approach to addiction recovery support available in your school, university or community-based recovery organization.
As a non-profit organization ourselves, we understand that making programs available is a challenge with a limited budget... and we'd like to help in overcoming that barrier by providing our GSF 201: Facilitator Training or GSF 203: Facilitator and Family & Friends Training to your volunteers or staff at a significantly reduced rate.
Once approved, individuals from qualifying organizations wishing to offer SMART Recovery meetings will be able to register for our GSF 201: Facilitator Training program online course at the reduced registration fee of $35 (regularly $99) or our GSF 203: Facilitator and Family & Friends Training program online course at the reduced registration fee of $45 (regularly $129).
Once trained and having registered your SMART meeting, your organization will be able to purchase the SMART Recovery Handbooks at a discounted rate as well. The SMART Recovery Handbook (3rd Edition) is designed for a wide audience, including young adults.
It is our desire to partner with various organizations to bring young people the support they deserve. Our staff and training team is available to brainstorm ways in which we can collaborate together to benefit young people in recovery.
Let’s work together to reach and benefit the maximum number of young lives!
Together, We CAN Change Young Lives!
- Parents and siblings who won’t endure years of pain observing their family member progress through years of addiction.
- The future partner, who will benefit from a solid and healthy relationship.
- A child who grows up in a loving and addiction-free home.
- Friends and colleagues who won’t feel torn or at a loss about how to help their loved one.
Let's work together to help young adults in your area find the addiction recovery that's "right" for them!
